The people the
record kept

These are the alumni the organisers chose to interview, years after the fact. That is a record of who stayed reachable and who was willing to talk, which is not the same as a record of who competed. It skews to the people who did well afterwards, and there is no way to correct for that from here.

The series gives a name, a school and an edition. It does not say which contest anybody played in, so nobody on this page is attached to a contest record, even where the archive holds that year's final. Three of the entries carry a standing the archive did not previously hold: PRESEC-Legon reached the 1996 final, Wesley Girls' reached the 1999 final, St. Peter's SHS reached the 2004 final. The build checks each of those against the champions table and against any final it holds, and will not publish a standing that contradicts them.

One entry names no person at all: the organisers interviewed a team and titled the episode after the school. That absence is on the page rather than tidied away.
